Greenwich Avenue

The heart of the proposed "Little Britain" neighbourhood in Manhattan consists of one block of Greenwich Avenue between Jane St and 13th St, home to the "A Salt And Battery" fish and chip shop, and the "Tea and Sympathy" restaurant.

My own verdict as an ex-pat?

1) When the heart of your proposed neighbourhood smells more of burritos than British fare, it doesn't bode well.

2) Until I find somewhere that I can get a good pint of Marston's Pedigree, I remain unconvinced that we've really made it here as a properly recognised ethnic group...
