Mixed Messages from Starbucks![]() While having coffee at a Starbucks with a couple of NPR colleagues today, one of them noticed that the cardboard jacket holding our cups was from their competitor, Seattle's Best. We swear we didn't stage this.
I'm sure there's a lesson in it, particularly in the midst of the financial meltdown, but I'm not sure what it is. What do you think? CommentsWould you like to comment?Sign up for a free account, or sign in (if you're already a member). |

Seattle's Best Coffee in the US was bought by Starbucks in 2003. Starbucks kept the Seattle's Best Coffee name and SBC's own type of coffee beans. However, recently many Seattle's Best Coffee cafes have been converted into Starbucks. It might be a move on Starbucks part to eliminate the SBC brand entirely.
