htop on Mac OS

kernel_task shouldn't be listed.
Haven't figured out how to measure the shared memory for a process.
Doesn't know anything about swap yet.
htop on Mac OS by AndyArmstrong.
I'm porting htop to Mac OS. It's kinda working.

It lives here: github.com/AndyA/htop-osx/tree/osx

Is this for real, or are you just running htop via an ssh session to linux, afaik it uses the /proc filesystem ... ? If so I need to send you beers.

Yeah, it's for real - look at the process names.

You should be able to build and run the osx or libtop branches from the repo linked to above.

Unfortunately I can't release it until I solve the problem of the licence incompatibility between Apple's libtop and htop. And also there's a (probably fairly small) amount of work to do to fill in the missing columns.

Oh and it currently has to run suid root - which makes it only really suitable for a single user box.

But, yeah, it's real :)

Note, there is now also a MacPort port file for htop.
