- I bought this bag in 1998. It's really a record bag from my DJ days, but I think most people assume it's some kind of conference promotion laptop bag.
- My work computer. I have a personal laptop that is much smaller, but the advantage of portability is lost by the fact that I don't use it for work. I usually don't carry a computer at all, but this one was in there at the time of photo.
- The cheapest umbrella money can buy. I have a couple back-ups at home and at work.
- I'm a bus commuter. I always have a book. This is the Elliott Smith biography
- The manual for the Mambo open source content management system. Great software that I haven't had time to implement anywhere.
- A couple pens (branded lawscholdiscussion.org) and a travel toothbrush that I never use.
- A headphone splitter and the little ipod firewire adapter that changes the big firewire plug to the little one.

I don't carry much in my bag these days. I only carry it so I can take a book and some food (usually a coke and three clementines) to work each day.
