Mother's Bear

Mother's Bear by Andrew_N.
Mum wanted a bear photo .. I have a terrible time photographing them. I'm either getting reflections, the DOF is wrong etc. This is the best of a bad bunch.

Brown Bear
(Ursus arctos)

Voices in the Wilderness:
Brown bears are endangered with less than 50,000 found world wide, that's only an estimated 2% of their original population. Mostly their habitats have been destroyed for farming and cities. They are misunderstood, feared and are killed often instead of relocated. They are still hunted for body parts in parts of the world. Brown bears have a low birth rate, high infant mortality and are steadily declining in numbers.

I think this is a nice shot! It looks really good when you a view a large size. You caught the light on his eyes fairly well---bears are difficult because they are so dark! Good stuff!
