Pix pastry presentation

My friend Dan took me to Pix Patisserie, an amazing French-style bakery that also has a very good drink list. This is part of their pastry display. I had the Amélie pastry (winner of the Patis France Chocolate Competition! Orange vanilla crème brulée sits atop a glazed chocolate mousse with caramelized hazelnuts, praline crisp, and Cointreau genoise), and it was fantastic. The rest are described here.

This is photo #57 in my Project 365 series.

I can't tell how big or small these things are. Did you have to cut it or are they small enough to just eat it like that?

They aren't very big. The one in the middle is probably 15 centimeters across.

Andrei forgets to mention the Ameile has a bit of edible gold on top as well. And the desserts are small, yet very filling.
