Jenny, one of my classmates from grad school, was in town for work. We met up for dinner and to wander around Harvard Square one evening.

My awesome walking buddies, from the Boston Volunteers Meetup group. (left, counter-clockwise) Ines, Chau, Natalie, and me. Initially I walked with Natalie for the first 4 miles--we all started together but got separated almost immediately--but ran into each other again around mile 4.

This was the last mile marker I officially reached. I had a sinus headache and knew I needed to call it quits (there were 9 checkpoints with buses back to Boston Common, the next one being at 11.5 miles).

Note the string of people circling the entire length of the reservoir. When we made it around, we looked behind and saw a similar string behind us!
