Snowkeh

Whattt? How do you get stars? :O
Snowkeh by AndiMacTen.
Wooooohhaa.. Thank you all for the nice comments. That one was just a test shot with my first shaped bokeh lens I build.
Two weeks ago we had had the first snow of this winter. So my cuuute li'l sister Eva and me were outside for take a walk for the dog at the evening. I took my Canon 50mm 1.8 and my shaped bokeh lens for some tests. That was very funny.

so.. when you take the picture,
all the bits of light out of focus work as the shape?
Or d'you take several?
I read the article but it was kind of confusing,
going to try it anyway, looks way too much fun!

First: OMfg. Thank you all for your nice comments. I can't belive it. And special thanks goes to Heather Camp for post this photo at blog.flickr.net.

Yeah, that's the trick of shape bokeh lenes. It is just one exposure. I used the flash for getting the snow bokeh.

Hehe, it is totaly fun. All you have to do is to tinker a shape bokeh lens and use a large aperture (I used f/1.8). All lights wich are not in focus will be unsharp then. I think it can be really fun for christmas trees and something else yet.

:O I'm so getting a shaped bokeh lense when I get my new camera.
I knew you could make like sunshine or lights have a certain number of rays, but I didn't know you could make shaped bokehs.
