Walking on the Beaches, Looking at the Peaches
At Eastern Market, Washington DC.
(Yes, I know they are nectarines. But the lyrics don't work with nectarines.)

Delete note.
I would be happier without the white paper plate.

Ahhhhh, I live near DC, and there are NO beaches in this city, especially near the eastern market! Anyways, I'm not very enthused by the chopped off heads and multiple of elbows. DM3 - RT was DM2, must have been typing at the same time.

Beautiful work here.
Ignore the crop suggestion -- the crate gives it context.
This is really a great photo, the colors are entrancing.

I don't see any reason for the negative comments. Forget about them. There's harmony, there's movement. I quite like it!

anyone who quotes the best song by the stanglers is AOK with me! :) excellent shot here too.. great focus and nice POV as well!!

oooooooo
peaches are sexy
nice with the peach colored tops
I like the luscious peach slices on the left, too and the light pink top
You've got the roundness of the peaches - no need for heads.

Nice color, but they're not peaches.
They're nectarines.

This picture could be very nice but the framing could be better. A different crop would be great.

Really love your peaches, want to shake your tree. I would like to see more breasts in this photo. That is the point isn't it?

lj_scampo (70 months ago | reply)
there are breasts, but not too obtrusive ;)
it seems that the main object are the peaches, but they arn't. the more interesting scene is played in the background and it is cleverly packed as addendum. the colors are fitting perfectly: brown (crate and skin), red and white. i like it. the crop would be worth a try but i like it at it is enough to

Nice summer colors!

Even if they are nectarines, I like the reference to a great Stranglers song, though I prefer "Down in the Sewer" myself. The combination of pink/peachy colours provides an extra tie-in between the globular motifs.
Technically not the best shot I've seen but on the other hand it's quite clever. White plate's a bummer... I'd go for Robin's crop suggestion.

Occasionally you get a great crop suggestion.
And yes, I know full well that the fruit are nectarines.

it's wonderful, the title is great and it's hard to find
a comparatively elegant word rhymes to "nectarine"

Are you sure you were looking at the peaches? That's a seriously good piece of ass behin them...
The nectarines are fantastic, crisp and well separated from the background by DOF. What makes it a save is the two red blouses and the general feeling of action.

The elbows make it.
Did you recently have a birthday, too?
I despise peaches. The feel of the fuzz...shudder... to me it's like nails on a chalkboard.
Nectarines rule! Can't really get a great one in Florida. One thing I miss about Pennsylvania.
But...
I shall walk upon the beach,
do I dare to eat a nectarine
somehow I think wouldn't linger in the mind...
