Arches Walk #2

I posted the same pic yesterday and got a lot of good compositional advice on it.

Nothing a little Photoshop couldn't fix...

How could that be the original if there is more in this one?
      Dunt matter anyway. Great capture.

I for one loved the first version, but I have to say that you achieved a great improvement with this new one!

Like this one better. Either way, it's a great idea, but the extra people were a little distracting to me.

Great PS job on getting the whole guy out. If I hadn't known someone used to be there, I really would never have noticed anything funny.

Tough one. All things being equal, these are both excellent photographs. However, the defenders has an amazing abstract quality to it, and the colors really draw you in. The curves are incredible, and while your shot has excellent framing, it's something I've seen many times, while the defenders shot is very unique.

the defender is a boring architecture shot.

"Stairwell," the defender's photo has been challenged a lot. It has survived several of them in fact and I've voted for the defender's shot more than once.

However, I think I've finally found a photo I prefer. This is excellent in composition and exposure. The four silhouettes is the icing on the cake.

Both shots are terrific, but this one gets my vote this time.

Sorry I have to defend the stairwell shot, while they are both nice shots of Architecture, this is not really that unique. The stairwell has a richness, and compositional quality that this does not approach.

    33. Figuromo (74 months ago | reply)

the stairwell shot more interesting in this case, it always looks like an eye to me.
This is a great perspective shot but somehow don't do anything for me.

never been a fan of that stairwell picture, but that picture is still more interesting to me in this challenge. Nice pic here but...

even if I like the geometry and composition of "Stairwell", the human element here is so nicely captured that is crucial for me to make a choice

I like this shot more than the defenders as there is alot more atmosphere with the people in the picture and better exposured in my eyes.
