Inspired by the apsara carvings within the Angkor Thom complex in Cambodia - The Forest Temple Guard II is created from my original photography from a recent trip to Cambodia. Tropical folliage and ancient symbols from the mystical Key of King Solomon were combined through digital layering and painting. The resulting image is that of a powerful guardian protecting a sacred site. A spiritual combination of nature, ancient religion and symbolic mysticism.
