I won't give away all my secrets - but Here's
the basic components.
I used PhotoShop CS only - no additional
plugins or other programs.
I create the layering and blending between
photographs by applying blending options on
each layer along with standarding editing,
paint, eraser, blur etc. (minding the
hardness and flow of my brush).
1. The Garuda photo is a wooden sculpture
about 12 ft tall.
2. The central background architecture is
from the Administration building at Notre
Dame University,
3. A sky photograph was utilized to create
the clouds/smoke at the bottom.
4 & 5.Two additional photographs were
utilized to pull color/tonal values into the
existing collage.
I then work with a professional art
reproduction printer to print onto archival
canvas. I personally sign, number, apply UV
Sealer and stretch the canvas myself on
wooden frames.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it :)
Glad you all like it. This one was truly a
labor of love.
