Taj Mahal Maintenance

Taj Mahal Maintenance by anaxila.
This is one of my all-time favorite India photos, and I only wish I could travel back in time and shoot it with my current camera. This was the back (river-facing) side of Taj Mahal. I'm not sure what they were doing, but I'd guess it was just routine cleaning. It perfectly highlights both the size and scale of Taj as well as the rudimentary scaffolding (wooden poles & twine) used all over the country. October 2002.
