This is the function readLogAmount in BLOG.php.

I have annotated the jpeg with notes showing the old code and where the new code should be.

This code change will enable per blog / per category / per tag /per item template ..

Basically, this helps to achieve different templates for different kind's of posts on the main page .. A look similar to kottke.org.

I haven't implemented the per tag, per item template thing yet. But tamizhan.com currently is using blogOptions and CategoryOptions to override it for flickr/delicious post templates.
