1st over Ripple Creek Pass, Colorado

    We had to camp out at Vaughn Lake waiting for the plow to clear the pass. We hiked over on foot one day to see it working its way upward. We were first at least first after the plow came through. White River National Forest. These Phoenix boats started in the Atlantic (where some curling tropical storm waves popped the seams while surfing) and eventually made it to the Pacific, stopping off at rivers along the way. 2 June 1976
