The Prudential

23/365: Insurance policies my grandmother's parents bought for her in the 1930s. The premiums were 5 cents/week and each week a man would come knocking on the door to collect the nickel. When my grandmother married in 1942, an insurance agent used a straight pin where today we would use a staple to attach a small form saying that her name had changed.

This is today's photo b/c today my mom made photocopies of these policies as part of her effort to close out my grandmother's estate.
