Home office - before

Painted three of the four walls a light gray. The wall with the brown bookshelf will be an accent wall (fire engine red).

The desk in a box is a parsons table with drawers, will be white lacquer. I have a black Bertoia wire side chair with white pad to go with it. All furniture in this room will be black & white, and some accessories will be fire engine red to pick up on the wall color.

Also, the wall with the desk leaning against it is magnetic (painted with magnetic primer before the color went up) and will sport my collection of posters and flyers.

I love the light gray. I painted my upstairs bathroom a similar color. I used bright red accessories (with the "first aid" cross) and they really pop with the gray.

I also love how you always do the neat putting-photos-together thing to give a view of the whole room. So cool - I must try it sometime!

This is awesome! It really opens up the room and doesn't look like it's yellowing with age (the way it looked before?), and the windows seem bigger, too, and more appropriate to the style.

American Tradition "___ colonial gray". I can't remember the first word. I'll look it up when I get home. The paint is from Lowes.
