      Sendai is one of the many cities & towns that suffered greatly in the tsunami that followed the great earthquake of 2011.

      Yes, I'm aware. It's my wife's hometown and I've visited many times. Fortunately all of the family are fine, but everyone knows someone suffering, or who passed away.
