I know this is super simple, but I thought I'd celebrate Tim Burton's new movie. This doesn't sound original, but I've been an Alice fan since childhood - I grew up reading the book, not with the movie, though it was out. My mom even made me the costume I'm wearing for halloween one year during middle school!

Unfortunately I won't get to see the movie until Monday, but I hope everyone enjoys it!

First of all, dear flickr - I'M SORRY! I have been completely swamped with university life, but this should be no excuse. I really do hope I'll have more time to get back to photography - March is going to be a crazy busy month for me, but afterward my schedule slows down. I'm only going to be taking two classes during the spring, so I'll be able to focus more on pictures!

This is probably the most recent picture that's been taken of me by someone else - pretty sad, since this was taken, I believe, in October!

The real reason why I haven't been able to update is because this fall I decided that in a year and a half, I will try applying for a Creative Writing Graduate program to get my Masters after I have completed my BA in English Literature. The thing about this program is that it is EXTREMELY difficult to get in - only 7 people are admitted per year. However, you work on a one-on-one basis with an author in your field. In my case, this would be poetry. So, all of my free time is going into my passion, which is poetry. Not to say that I don't love photography! But this is my future. I hope you all understand!

I still come on every single day and all of your pictures are so lovely. I feel terrible I can never contribute. It's tough keeping an A average in uni with all of the reading I have to do, and on top of that working what feels like unceasingly on my writing portfolio.

This spring I hope I'll be able to put all my creativity to use and join the ranks of flickr once again! Hopefully you all haven't forgot about me in this time ):

(P.S. if you read all of this, I'm impressed! and for that, you'll get a tidbit of information - I'm so short! I finished growing by 10, and I stand a mighty 4'11''. At 19 years young, I now make up for it in attitude!)

Week 2: Warmth

Had to scramble for this one because I forgot! - currently on reading week and the light here fades around 4, no good!

Week One for our project to inspire one another! Every week my favourite and lovely Anthony Chung and I are going to be challenging each other with a theme which we will have the week to capture!

This week the theme was 'shiny' - my interpretation is extremely material, haha
