dear god, forgive me for eating nothing but this for the next couple of days.

I've been entertaining fantasies of this very moment for months. It's just as lovely and civilized as I'd hoped.

Today was one of those productive days like you wish you could conjure, but they usually hit when you're at work. So you create New Filing Systems, or something equally useful.

Well. Today I did huge laundry (including area rugs and all linens), went to the pharmacy and grocery store. Washed the car inside and out, cleaned the whole house (even the bathroom mirror) , put the curtains back up, laundry away, and now a friend is coming for dinner. Oh, and in there I painted the chairs, because they were shedding degrading green plastic on to friends' (and my own) butts. not cool. Besides, I like white. They need another coat, but that'll wait another day.

I'm taking Aleve and a shower. I'm pretty sure I'll sleep tonight!

whew.

Someone came out to the living room to hang out with me. It was very exciting. I hope he's feeling better.
