So Here's the Thing About Golden Mantled Ground Rats
So here's the thing about Golden Mantled Ground Rats.. .er.. Squirrels.... they know how to work us. They know they're cute. They know they're cheeky and we love that.
They know that if the get just close enough we'll say "Awww... look at the cute chipmunk, he must be hungry. Honey, where's our trail mix?" They know that being cute, cheeky and tame will get them cheerios and honey roasted almonds while being skittish and wild just gets them nuts and berries. A beast can only live on pine nuts and grass seed for so long.
So, everywhere there are tourist suckers with loaded backpacks and bulging pockets there are Golden Mantled Ground Rats, getting fat.
