Pinhole Rose

The last one from the first colour roll through my 24x24mm matchbox pinhole camera.

Yeah, I know it looks like it’s the wrapper from a 8-pack of toilet paper, but this one kinda blew me away when I scanned it in. It was taken with a matchbox goddamit! :-)

The matchbox was about half an inch from the rose, which was indoors under the kitchen fluorescent light strip, about a minute exposure I think.

this does have the 70s sunlight feel, combined with an 1870s antique feel... the spirit of the photograph is unfettered by expensive lenses and camera bodies- a person with a pinhole camera can create art just as well, if not better...

      excellent

Amazingly sharp for a minute exposure! Do you have a cable shutter release for your matchbox pinhole?:-)

ha ha, no, but it's easier to get a sharp pinhole shot on long exposures like this rather than "short" (i.e. less than a few seconds) as there's no blur from fumbling around with the cardboard shutter :-)
