grow

I seriously made this page an hour after the OLW ladies posted the "Grow" prompt. I had been just sitting there wondering what to scrapbook when I realized another prompt was surely waiting. Woohoo!

I remember taking this picture with my mother because we felt like we matched the kitchen cabinets. I had painted the cabinets earlier that year as a way of getting her to finally remodel her kitchen, but she liked the colors too much, and hasn't changed them since. I like this photo because it shows my mother in her element- she loves to cook, and it's one of the things I miss most about her. It's good to remember how we grow up- both due to the food we eat, and the parents who raise us.
