    Thanks. I've never been to the islands but many people say they're practically occupied by German tourists - and some of them even decide to live there, hence the title. :)

    I thought about a Brit version, unfortunately I am a bit confused about the way the British people perceive Europe - before the crisis I could just put price labels for real estate on each country but obviously that's not a top priority anymore... Let me think...

    Hmmmmm....I could help you with the British view (which is totally different from mine). To cut a long story short, most British people are sceptical about Europe and want no part of it, but want European funding and subsidies when offered....oh and complain that nobody speaks English, yet decide to live in Spain. To be honest, most British people (and I suppose I mean most English people), get on my nerves. But, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. For it's faults, life isn't too bad here.

    There were a lot of British people buying property in Bulgaria. That amused me. Some of them buy land in the countryside and move to live there and I always wondered wow - these people have no roots, how can you leave all your life behind and move somewhere even a Bulgarian wouldn't... Amazing!

    I know about the Euro-skepticism. Maybe we should create a United States map and put Britain in there. ;)

    Your maps rock! I'm loving every one. I would say the Germans think of the Poles similar to the French view of Poles, as Handwerker not vegetables. Also I would imagine Luxembourg feels left out of all of this. I think of Luxembourg as either über-reich or secret places to hide money.
