Every spring, the ducks grace our backyard, only for a few days, here and there. Are they the same ones, year after year after year? I don't know; they sure look the same -- but this has been going on now for years, so how could they be the same? There's always the male and the female, and they're not scared of us at all.

They're out there again today. My camera batteries are dead so, no pictures, but I took this one back in 2009. My seasonal allergies are keeping me indoors on this beautiful day, so I decided to make use of the time by opening up photoshop.

(Mortal Muses is currently hosting a self-portrait theme. Absolutely NOT my thing but I gave it a shot anyway with an iPhone snap I took at xmas. Somehow I've managed to make myself look younger so......yay me! LOL)

At the Mexico Lindo restaurant in Oshawa, there is an old rusty pole just outside its front door, and this is the east side of the sign atop that pole. On this side the Coca-Cola and Sprite signs are both quite visible; on the west side, the Sprite dominates.

On this side the Sprite sign dominates and the Coca-Cola is way less visible -- really hard to see actually -- but on the east side, they're both quite visible. (Although it might appear so in this photo, the white telephone/hydro pole is not supporting the sign in any way; it just gets in view of the shot when taken from this angle.)
