Seebensee Reflections in monochrome

Lake Seebensee is a little mountain lake, located at 1657m (5430ft) in the Mieminger Alps, close to Ehrwald, Tyrol.

The lake now end of May is still half frozen and there's up to 2m of snow around.

I climbed up a steep via ferrata to get to the lake. When I arrived the sky was still covered with many, many clouds. I stood 6 hours up there and at 9pm most of the clouds disappeared and there was absolutely no wind. The cloud you can see above the Zugspitz mountain range rested in the same position for 2 hours ! Due to the calm the refection on the lakes surface was the most perfect I've ever seen in my life !

Zugspitze, 2962m (9715ft) is the highest summit in Germany.
