Dandeli

On the western ghats and by the sides of river Kali is the beautiful region of Dandeli. The open forest area is a wild life sanctuary, and home to the black panther. But the wet dense forest makes spotting the elusive cat almost impossible. Nevertheless, you can spot many birds including the Malabar and Great Hornbills, take your shot at white water rafting, or simply enjoy a silent moonlight kayaking thru the Kali river.
