Independent Record Store Day!
Today is Independent Record Store Day. If you have a local go and buy something from them! I went to mine today and this is what I got! They said they were giving away free stuff but no way did I imagine I would get this much. In the bag I found: A copy of Paste Magazine, 2 7"s, 10 cds, 9 stickers, 18 buttons, a bookmark, some 3d glasses to watch a bjork video, a magnet and a keychain. Could my bag have contained some kind of message of fate? Hmm... I wonder?!

I wish I had an independent record store near by. The nearest one is probably 60+ miles away.

Order from them online or over the phone. They will ship to you. So much better than supporting some crap virgin mega-store or walmart or other various big box type shop.

oh yeah I do buy online, I usually just by direct from the band/record label too, but it's really not the same as going in a shop and browsing through stuff. It's more fun!

They don't do badges/buttons over here enough. I used to collect them. I've still got one of Boy George that I found at an amusement arcade in South Wales in 1988.
This is a lot of stuff though - I enjoy ordering from Polyvinyl... they put little sweeties in.
