We stumbled across this wedding shoot on the sand dunes in Mui Ne, a coastal resort town in southern Vietnam. There were many unique photo ops to be had -- I particularly liked getting a glimpse of the wedding party's cameraman on the move.

the position of the hand, the foot, and the steps all work well with this shot.

I haven't submitted anything to DMU since the tragic matzoh ball soup incident of 2006 -- but my time in Vietnam with my brother has inspired me to try again. We both like this shot, taken when smoothdude, my husband and I were visiting a seaside town in Vietnam, touring the local sights. Not like the sand dunes weren't breathtaking enough on their own, but to run into a wedding shoot (including a massive white piano) in the desert... Pretty cool.

If he was carring a AK47 it might have a better chance.

That said, Steve is right - if he were carrying an AK-47 that would have been fantastic, especially with the same title!

That is great. Cameramen rarely get into the frame, and are usually shy to be in front of the camera.
This is a good one.

Wow, thanks everyone! Monk, yes, I suppose I should think of a better title... And no, Revertabrate, unfortunately we had to leave before we saw the bride herself. I do have a few shots of the piano though.

Amazing shot.. I can't believe the results on that Sony camera. I'm hardcore Canon but I'm amazed sometimes in how much better the Sony's are getting, especially for the price.

Thanks! I'm surprised too -- we debated on the Sony a long time before leaving for this trip, almost getting the Nikon D50 or D70 instead. I know those are infinitely better cameras, but our trip is long and our backpacks already heavy... The Sony is simple and light and has the super-zoom (which really has come in handy already). The big downside is that it uses AA batteries, and even the rechargable ones can't hold a candle to lithium, length-wise.
