This reminds me of a scene from one of my all time favorite movies: Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds.

I'm guessing that they are nesting nearby and are searching for food on the beach below - which explains the bulk of the flock.

No birds were added to the photo or cloned - I however cloned away a bird or two that were partially in frame... Shame on me. ;)

I found this lovely old house nearby Reykjavík Airport and I think someone actually lives there. I'm guessing someone who bought it when it was new...

A beautiful machine used in Stafnes, south-western Iceland. The clouds above it kinda reminded me of the northern lights.

I found this one in Stafnes, South-Western Iceland. It looks innocent, but inside there's an instant three-four meter (~8ft) drop so be careful!

A part of Reykjavík's culture festival, Menningarnótt, was this event for small children in the children's room of Alliance francaise, a library of French literature located in central Reykjavík city. My son Hrafnkell was mesmerized the whole time... Well, at least until he discovered that he was in a room full of pillows along with is big brother...
