      Is this with the 100 mm macro? If I recall you have a real beast of a camera. I'm not working with nearly the power you have, but in a pinch I've been known crop what I need out of a shot to get closer. It seems nice and sharp. That said, I love this composition with the crowd like this...and I like the whole meta photo of a person taking a photo while you're taking a photo thing.

      well spotted Bal - yes its the 100mm macro - an awesomely sharp lens on the eos 1ds mark 2 seeing as my 70-200L IS is up the duff at the mo. Despite an AAA pass the organisers wouldnt allow me in the pit or any other photogs for that matter much to my utter disgust. This was taken from amongst the die hard fans. I cropped very very slightly around him in post. Glad you like it ;-)

      I really like this Al, as it is taken by the eyes of the crowd. That's something I don't think we see enough of - great stuff.
