North by North Sea

North by North Sea

Egmond aan Zee, North-Holland, Netherlands.

I traded my 70-300 Nikon lens in for a 70-200 f/2.8 VRII. It's huge, it's heavy, it's big, it's expensive. But boy oh boy those results are fingerlicking good. It's sharp, sharp, sharp! Did some tests this afternoon in Egmond aan Zee. Of course shot at f/2.8 :) Gonna love working with this lens, a lot!

High in the Troodos Mountains (Must See Original Size!)

High in the Troodos Mountains (Must See Original Size!)

Troodos, Troodos Mountains, Cyprus, Europe.

Troodos (Greek: Τρόοδος (IPA: [ˈtɾo̞o̞ðo̞s])) is the biggest mountain range of Cyprus, located in the center of the island. Troodos' highest peak is Mount Olympus at 1,952 metres.

The Troodos mountain range stretches across most of the western side of Cyprus. There are many famous mountain resorts, Byzantine monasteries and churches on mountain peaks, and nestling in its valleys and picturesque mountain villages clinging to terraced hill slopes. The area has been known since ancient times for its mines, and in the Byzantine period it became a great centre of Byzantine art, as churches and monasteries were built in the mountains, away from the threatened coastline.

As said in the title, an absolute must see in original size (1920x950).
