Sung by Beady Eye and Inspired by a night out light painting with Paul Jones & Mick Ridley.
Made Explore #44 9th November 2011
You saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
You know just what I was there for
You heard me saying a prayer for
Someone I really could care for."
Paul Jones & myself had been planning a night out for some time to test out our various "light painting tools - not to mention a stash of steel wool & magnesium that needed burning". However, at the last minute we were joined by the "Grand Master" Mick Ridley (fellwalker1) to provide guidance and "wax on wax off" training!
This is my first Orb! Mick had watched patiently (? maybe more amused - if not pissing himself laughing) at how I had tried to spin an Orb by myself and then kept hitting myself on the head, back, neck etc as I tried to switch the bugger off!
So Mick gladly assisted me here, by maning the cameras which allowed me to spin the Orb then "run!" Mick shouted, so I charged out of the pool and he covered the lenses with his hands and then he painted the walls of the Cave!
Awesome textures in the cave walls, this is down at Cullercoats bay. This is the entrance to one of the caves and it was still full of water even at low tide! We couldn't get further down the cave (which is behind the Orb) as the water level was higher than wellie level - a new weather terminology!
Thanks again to Mick for helping Paul and myself vent some much needed light painting energy, make sure to check out the other guys photostreams:
I'm sure Paul & myself will be heading back down here soon with more prototypes and energy!
PS If it's not a blue moon don't tell me because I'm colour blind and then you'll ruin my whole vibe man!
PPS Just broke the 100,000 View barrier too! Many thanks and here's to
the next 100,000 views!
