Inspired by boyhood memories.
On my recent trip back to the Lake District I was reminded of my youth. From the ages of 14 till 17 I would go with "the lads" camping to Keswick.
Well that's what we told our folks, in reality it was a chance to drink cider, smoke cigarettes and tell tall tales!
Driving down to Ashness Jetty I laughed as I passed an "unamed" hotel, where I once ... let's say "decorated" it's beer garden. Never to drink cider for nearly 25 years after that event!
But as I waited down at Ashness Jetty for my turn to photograph the Jetty, this old tree in the lake caught my attention.
She reminded me of that fateful day my friend and myself had been on a walk around one of the lakes. We were chatting away and listening to a small radio we had, when we were stopped in our tracks.
A man told us we couldn't go any further, on asking why he told us
..."we've just pulled a lady's body out of the lake!"
