Okay, once I managed to drag my eyes away
from the wonderful bookcases, the table looks
great! I like it against the blond wood, but
that 's just me (and living with carpet under
my dining table has made me long for no rug
in the vicinity of food and drink...)
Thanks! It took time but I finally have it.
:) btw if you're in the market, I cannot
recommend www.gabrielross.com enough: great prices and amazing service.
If and when I decide to move from a ottoman
to a proper dining table, this will be my
choice. For chairs, I always thought some
Eames fiberglass side chairs with the chrome
eiffel base would be cool. Maybe pale yellow
or pale blue.
Hey, funny you should mention that, I've been
thinking about the blue ones!! They are
really nice and much more affordable. I would
add a curtain in the same shade to my living
room window...
great table!!! have the marble version with
the eames chairs you want:
one note of caution: when moving the table
around, grab it by the pedestal, (base) not
the top as the 3 screws may strip due to the
heaviness of the base. This is more important
on the marble version but can affect the
laminated as well. Great pic! love it!
Beautiful tables, thanks for sharing. I am looking for a similar table for 3
people. I just looked at a 32 inch diameter
one, but am not sure its big enough. Any comments?

I've decided to spend on furniture what I would spend yearly for a used car. :p
Ikea has a knock-off, but it's really not as nice.

OMG!! Here it is!! And you said the door was the star! HERE's the star. Gorgeous! How could you eat on the ottoman when this one calls your name?

Wow.

Should I put a rug under it? I really like it on the blond wood, but I wonder.

I would definitely put a rug under it. It will make it pop.

I'm with smallcitybeth...I cannot get away from the vertical bookcases. What are they? Where can the rest of us find them?
All About Eve (57 months ago | reply)
They're Benno CD cases with ajustable shelves, from Ikea :

I have the bigger one and it site 8, so my bet is the smaller one will be perfect for your needs.

Joel_pirela, What is the color of your fabulous wall? I have a kitchen that is screaming for that color! ;-)

red oxide by behr. It was a pain to get a uniform coverage, even that I have great experience with behr in the past... but I love it.
