Not sure why I like this, but it's my favourite of this set.

The "3/6" takes the nostalgia a bit *too* far.

Something I've been curious about: was there any particular reason why this book, alone out of the Great Ideas series, got an additional ink colour on the cover?

And ngl_u: I disagree; the 3'6 takes it just far enough. It even matches the price of many of my old Penguins from the period.

      Hi there

The colour red had made fleeting appearances in Romek Marber’s original - green - crime covers but this was justified only after years of strong sales (such was Penguin's financial rigour at the time).
Although I felt like I was double-crossing the other designers, its addition to our palette felt like a fitting indulgence for one of the list’s biggest-selling authors, and one who is synonymous with Penguin.

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called • flashback •, and we'd love to have this added to the group!

Just finished reading this, and may not have bought it as soon as I did were it not for the interesting cover. This one is a keeper (won't be going to Starbucks with a bookcrossing label inside). I especially like the texture of the embossed cover.

I love the 3/6 touch, especially as one of the essays is about working in a second-hand bookshop, when books were even cheaper than that!
