Hey there Tomas. Yup, that is indeed the inspiration for the Freud cover.

In fact, nearly all the Great Ideas series covers have made very direct use of title and cover pages from classic literature contemporary to each particular text - it's essentially the founding idea behind the designs - reappropriating and recontextualising those designs.

Credits weren't listed for all the original designers, particularly in cases where the originals were thought to be generally well known, or where there were a combination of sources for a cover.

Permission was sought (and credits applied) in circumstances where it could be: as with the Camus and Foucault covers. In fact, the families of the original designers were extremely happy to have the work used in such a way.
