Film from NC this summer...

[all of my polaroid film was expired & didn't work; if anyone knows where i can get some for cheap (not impossible project) let me know]

I got some film developed a couple days ago. Most of which was from the summer & last fall.

I'm a sucker for long exposures & experimenting so this theme was really fun for me. I went shooting in a huge warehouse on Monday night and it was so nice to just explore in the quiet and dark of the night in this big, old warehouse. For this photo, I used a shot from the warehouse and another from doing long exposures with sparklers. Obviously, there are no sparklers in this photo because I just used the trees.

This week was ridiculously hard. Every night had me in emotional breakdown. I'm just exhausted. So many responsibilities and things to learn. But it was so nice to end the week with my mom coming home, water color painting, developing film and spending a bit of time on learning some new chords. Even though it was a rough week, I am abundantly blessed with so many people that pray for me, love me, encourage me. I made it through this week! i

it's been a really long week. breakfast dates, class, materialism, birthday, surprises, snow storms, remote, worship, serving. i turned 19 on friday and it's about time. everyone thinks i'm at least 21 so at least i don't have to say i'm only 18 anymore.

my birthday was really nice. i got a $5 chai from starbucks for free with my birthday coupon, spent my morning in the church with some wonderful people, came home to my bedroom flooded in streamers and balloons. some of my friends came in the morning and it was honestly one of the best parts of my birthday. a lot of my plans got cancelled because there was a huge snow storm but i still got to see a lot of people i love.

i spent most of the weekend at church. i haven't sang on the weekends for almost 2 months so it was good to be back. i always learn so much. learning to lead a huge congregation is so humbling and a big step. i'm starting to pick up my guitar again.

& i got my remote! so this is my first self-portrait with my remote and i plan on doing a lot more. i guess i just chose this one because of all the bokeh. i love my 50 f/1.4!
