The amount of drool these things produce is phenomenal. At west midland's safari park you can buy GIRAFFE FOOD, hold your hand out of the car window and feed the things. The Coolest Experience.

Mixed feelings about zoos - west midland's safari park have an enormous mixed species enclosure, they're on the nicer end of the zoo spectrum.

Amazing creatures! I did the same at The Wild Animal Park in San Diego (sounds similar to the one you mention here). You could feed baby white rhinos too! Really cool...but sad and strange at the same time. It's such a catch 22, although they did have a nice, and relatively safe environment to cruise around...they seemed happy and well taken care of...but who's to say?

that tongue is VERY pale for a giraffe.... They are usually a very dark purple colour. It looks like one of those foamy shrimp sweets that you get from the pix 'n' mix haha
