I think shadows add a lot to certain images, including this one. If anything, they could be more pronounced.

Yes all blown down now, but not forgotten, it lasted a long time. The colours lasted right up ontil last week, a photo such as this one is a really great record of what has been an extraodinary autumn for us all. Martin
