Coloring Nocturnal Lemons
'Coloring Nocturnal Lemons' On Black
"Lemons grow in tropical and sub-tropical climates and cannot withstand frosts and very cold temperatures. Their favored temperature is between 15–30 °C and they need ample quantities of sunlight. They thrive in fertile, well-drained soils, but are notable for tolerating very poor, infertile soil, such as sand. Lemons need plenty of water but should be allowed to dry out between waterings. Propagation is often by grafting as the stock is vulnerable to cankers and dry rot.
Lemons are grown commercially in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Turkey, and other Mediterranean countries. They are also grown in Argentina, India, Brazil and the United States."

From the thumbnail, I thought it was the bottom of a steel kitchen sink (complete with water and scratches).
Great work.

Wonderful picture again Annadriel. Fascinating subject, beautifully conceived and executed, and wonderfully crisp image. I'm loving your "green period".

Very cool. We have a meyer lemon tree in our yard in California but had to grow it in a raised bed because our soil does not drain well.

very cool picture. i can't believe that i am the first to ask...how did you do it? i don't understand the lighting and the surface. i am guessing there is a slice of lemon on a sheet of plastic overtop of a lamp? and did you change the colours in photoshop? great idea - such a beautiful effect.

It is beautiful, and I am wondering how you did it too!
Annadriel (63 months ago | reply)
Haha, ty for all your comments and faves!
@ meow meow and Amber... Bamberboo:
1st: I put a (scratched) plexi glass between 2 chairs and above it was a kitchen light.
2nd: I put a slice of lemon and some water on that "glass"
3rd: Tried to somehow comfortably lie down on the floor, under that whole sculpture.
4th: Remembered that I forgot to take a cam with me...sooo
5th: repeated the whole procedure XD
6th: Took few photos
7th: Used a crossprocessing method in PS...
8th: I think this is it :)
