Secret Beach Garden

I call it Secret Beach because I accidentally stumbled upon it one day and no one is ever here (they all go to the main beach). So for now, it's my secret.

loved the secret-beach post that you linked this photo in, Alex!

once, when i was very little, my father and i took some dried up marigold flowers, crumbled them up, and scattered the seeds all over the backyard of our house.

weeks later, these flowers in your photo began growing in that spot. and i ran to my dad, excitedly shouting, 'daddy! the marigolds turned into different flowers!' there is a name for them, i can't remember it now. but i was so excited about that magical transformation, even when my dad explained that these new ones were completely different flowers and had nothing to do with the marigold seeds. i was not convinced.

your secret beach is MAGICAL, too. =)
