Perhaps I will take a better photo tomorrow (this was photo number 248 after being in Yosemite for four days) because this does not convey the love of my room. The washroom behind the door has a little sitting vanity, a huge tub with the most amazing soaps, beautiful shower and a washing vanity area. But my favourite place is a little nook to the left, which can't be seen. It's no bigger than a closet and had I not moved the curtains I wouldn't have known it was there; but it's all done in pretty pink toile fabric - walls, ceiling and bench. A private little retreat where I found myself fast asleep last night.

And the linens here - 700 thread count from Italy. Oh. My. God. The food! The view! The antiques picked up all over France just for the property. But my favourite? I purchased a book this morning, left it in the room on the table and upon my return they had put a bookmark in the book for me. The level of service here is unlike no other (personal maid to look after you). There is no front desk when you check in, no tipping, no bill collecting. Just ease, beauty, and luxury. No wonder why Barbara Streisand honeymooned here.

Will be writing a review because out of all the properties I've stayed in, this is my favourite and biggest personal inspiration. I must get a chateau!
