Hey, how do I set my Nikon D70s to take photos with it. I have never used a non AF lens on my camera. When I tried to shoot this evening I got a flashing F. Do I need to set it manually or something?

it apparently doesn't meter at all with most nikons, so you have to put it in manual mode, then guess at the shutterspeed (having set the aperture, of course, with the lens). easy enough to snap a few test shots, thankfully, and just delete those and move on.

and the flash won't meter either. so start wtih 1/2 power, I think they recommend.
