The Erg Chebbi (Erg=Sanddune) is located in the middle-eastern part of Morrocco on the border to Algeria and forms the beginning of the Sahara desert. This is also the place where the 'Marathon Du Sable' starts - one of the hardest marathons in the world which takes 7 days and 240km to run. The runners have to carry all the food, sleeping bag etc., which they need for the 7 days, by themselves.
