This has to be seen in RAW/PNG/lossless TIFF to do it justice. The amount of fine detail is simply mind-blowing, and JPEG destroys a lot of that.

Hi I'm RGB from POTN! also from Sydney.
I want one but I already have the 2.8 but yours is sharper throughout so I think eventually I'll get one of these too for times on the move:)

The sole reason I skipped the f2.8 IS was the f4 IS's superior, consistent optical performance. I actually preferred the f2.8's extra weight and bulk, felt more balanced and solid. Trade-offs, eh? ;-)
This lens is definitely a legend in the making.
