Symbiosis.
I'm going to miss the lush, green forest when I move to California in a month.
This is probably my fifth attempt to create a photograph with mushrooms in the last year, so I'm glad one has finally turned out decently.
I like to think of this in conjunction with this photo and this photo of mine. They're almost a sort of series featuring thin, long-limbed creatures in natural environments with dark, strong colors, and an anonymous subject.

The deep, green tones bring a whole other dimension to the photograph - an eerie & mysterious mood. The saturation of the cool greens, in contrast to the warm skin-mushroom tones is perfection.
