Cannery Row

I was at Boggle Hole, near Robin Hood's Bay, indulging in a typically British summer pastime - lazing on a beach. I was reading John Steinbeck's Cannery Row and came to the chapter in which Doc is collecting marine animals. I paused to absorb the happy coincidence of the setting and decided I must capture the moment on film.

Congratulations! I just looked at the winners of the competition and I must say, though I had looked at slideshows of the various categories, etc. and had seen some great pictures, yours is the only one of the winning pics. that I actually remember seeing before. I would think it must have been a very difficult choice - each judge choosing 8 pics. out of all those thousands.. Anyway, congratualations!
