22:365 "cookie cutter brothers" I try so hard not to compare the two of them, given that they are different ages, but sometimes I look at pictures like this, and I catch my breath because they look so much alike.

21:365 "chuc mung nam moi" Tet (vietnamese lunar new year) starts officially on monday the 23rd, but I got the boys dressed and gave them their lixi (lucky money) today. you can see how much samuel loves getting lixi. :)

20:365 "albert's horrible, terrible, no good very bad day" so this is only a cell phone picture, but it about sums up our day. after being on day FIVE of being snowed in, no school for the boys, and 24 hours of no power, we took the bus to Kirkland today. Here's Albert on the bus. We had to walk 1/2 uphill in the snow (Todd was a trooper and carried Albert on his shoulders up the hill). then we got to Kirkland. Everything was closed due to the inclement weather. Then poor Albert fell into the freezing fountain, totally soaking his pants, snow boots, and coat. Much crying ensued. While I was cleaning him up, I elbowed him in the face and gave him a black eye. More crying ensued. We finally trooped to the library, me carrying Albert and Samuel carrying Albert's wet clothes, where he promptly fell into the toilet. Poor, poor kiddo!

19:365 "accio wand!" we had an ice storm here, and we had these terrific icicles on the house. the boys used them as wands instead. I think they played a little too much Lego Harry Potter while we were housebound during the snowstorm. :)

18:365 "the big cheese" I tried doing a mini photoshoot of the boys today, but first Samuel was asked for a playdate, then Albert had to be bribed with candy. thus, most of my pictures of him look like this. Ah well. at least he's cute.
