Alaskan Coastal Brown bear.....2

Alaskan Coastal Brown bear (Ursus arctos ) waving a friendly “Hi” whilst relaxing on the beach on the Katmai peninsula.
In answer to several questions, Yes this image is real, and not digitally created.. This sub adult had just finished chasing fish in the creek inlet, and he lay down for a rest. Most of the time he laid on his belly, but for a short time he laid on his back and put on this show. I was on the beach with about 6 other people standing about 100 yards (metres) away. It was a precious moment.

How was it securing that model release form? I hear they can be unbearable with details. ;-)

To MyEhive, I had been dropped on this isolated beach, by bush plane, with about 6 other people and a guide. We were about 100 yards (metres) away from this sub adult bear. A magic moment I will never forget.

Alan, I'm an admin for a group called Photography, Digital 100 Examples (see rules, Creative Commons A, and we'd love to have this added to the group!

This is the best example I have seen yet to motivate people to share their images on Flickr -as of this post you have 163K views and 100's of favs - this is a learning example of what can make a good photo - something that sparks a response in the viewer due to pure content.
